News From The Weald School – October 2013
September has flown by. Our Reception and Year 3 pupils, along with 5 staff are no longer new, but are now fully settled into Weald life. Our Year 6 pupils have had a fantastic outdoor activity week up at the JCA base in Shropshire, where they gained a lot in both experiences and developing their confidence and friendships. They really were an absolute pleasure to be away with.
We have also had our School Exhibition where we presented the background and our thoughts on our school building. Thank you for those of you who joined us and shared your responses and ideas too. all this information is being collated and we are currently looking at whether there is a clear way forward for solving our problems. Once complete, this information will be shared withe very one, but do keep an eye on our website where we have a page dedicated to this project and we aim to keep you up to date on any results and progress.
This month we have our Harvest Festival in school, our Year 4 pupils are off for a 3 night Viking experience in Dorset, our Year 1 and 2 Pupils are off to the Florence Nightingale Museum and our Upper Juniors are all taking part in cycling safety sessions.
We also have Citizens Advice Bureau based here at the school each month this term. Between 2:30pm and 4pm on October 1st, November 5th and December 4th there is a drop-in session for anyone living or working in the local area as well as the school community.
