Dear Friends,
I’m sure like us you were very thankful for the beautiful sunshine on Friday, it makes one feel spring is round the corner. The birdsong is definitely increasing and bulbs are poking through the soil.
I attach this week’s weekly sheets, the readings, Revd Liz’s sermon and the weekly photo.

You will see on the weekly sheets that we are going to run an online Lent Course this year starting on Monday 22 February at 7-9pm. The subject is ‘Creation’. More details will be published in the next couple of weeks, but if you would like to join Revd Liz please email ( vicar@capelandockleychurch.org.uk) or phone (01306 711260) her to be added to the list.
A few of us meet for daily prayers twice a week via Zoom on a Wednesday morning at 9.30am and Friday afternoon at 5.30pm, do join us if you would like to. Let me know by email and I will add you to the Zoom invitation. Most of us use the ‘Daily Prayer’ app which is the Church of England’s app and can be found in your phone’s App Store, and looks like this:
The weekly bible group is currently studying Isaiah and has come across a series of lectures by Sandra Richter which are fascinating and put this period of biblical history and prophecy into context. You normally have to purchase these but we have downloaded them on behalf of the church so that they can be accessed by any of our congregation for free once they have set up an account. If you would like to do this, do let me know and I can send you the details.

St John The Baptist Church, Capel is a small friendly village church in the centre of the village. We are part of the Surrey Weald Team of parishes close to the south Surrey border with West Sussex. The other parishes in the team are St Peter’s, Newdigate, and St Mary Magdelene, South Holmwood. Our church offers a variety of worship, both separate and as part of the Weald Team.
