Over the past years the Society has planted daffodils on the verges throughout the village. Last autumn members got together and planted crocuses on the green opposite The Old Forge Surgery. We hope everybody is enjoying the results in the spring sunshine.

The Horticultural Society organised their Spring Litter Pick – socially distanced of course – last weekend. On Saturday 6 March around 20 stalwarts turned out equipped with gloves, sturdy footwear, some hi-vis clothing and litter pickers. Bringing some cheer to Capel, the churchyard will again be aglow with Christmas trees this year. Members are welcome to come and assist decorate, at a social distance of course, between 9 – 10 am on Saturday 5 December.

Thank you to all those who chose to take their daily exercise litter picking last Saturday! Our regular army of litter pickers turned out and filled just 18 bags with rubbish. This was a vast improvement on the 40+ bags collected in September. Here’s hoping this trend continues downwards.
