Capel’s outstanding community spirit is never illustrated so well as in the fantastic display of Christmas trees displayed in the churchyard during December. What a pity they have to come down again before Twelfth Night! We shall miss their sparkling cheerfulness as we pass by on the drear nights of mid-winter. 26 different organisations were represented by their highly individual trees, from A for Alms Houses through to W for the W.I., illustrating that there is always something going on in the village, in which people of all ages and interests can become involved.
