Capel Parish Notes For September
MVDC Housing and Traveller Sites Plan – Responses to this are now being considered by the District Council which aims to publish a proposed submission version in early 2015. This document will outline which sites MVDC believes are the most suitable for development and there will then be a formal six week consultation on that document.
Planning Matters – Proposed Solar Panel Development
The Parish Council is concerned that because the consultation period for Application Reference No Mo/2014/1092 falls during the summer holidays residents may not be aware that there is a proposal for a Solar Panel Development at Cracker Barrel Farm on land adjacent to the A24 Capel By-Pass, Horsham Road, Beare Green. This would involve the construction of a 12.6 hectare (over 40 acre) solar farm and associated works which would be constructed on rising land on either side of the A24 between Wigmore Lane and the Beare Green Roundabout. Responses will still be considered up until the beginning of October so please do respond to MVDC is you have not already done so.
