Just a quick email today as I am on Granny duties so writing this whilst the youngest grandchild is having her morning nap.
We have two services for you this weekend:
9.30am Holy communion Ockley
10.30am Cafe church The Crown Capel
You will note that cafe church is back at the Crown so do come and join us for coffee, croissants, great music and lots of discussion.
Thank you to all those who made pudding for the Capel village lunch this week, they were delighted with our creations!
We have two major events coming up in June and July, the Vicarage Fete, back after a gap of two years and the Military Fair where we will be running the Coffee and tea stall. Please help is you can. There are forms in both our churches so do sign the if you can give up a few hours.
The vicarage fete also is looking for a number of items. They are:
1. Gazebos to shelter our stalls from the sun – please reply to this email if you have one that you can lend us
2. Bottles for the bottle tombola – these don’t have to be alcohol. Boxes will be in our churches to collect these
3. Raffle prizes to go in 3 large hampers featuring food and drink, pampering and gardening.

Picture of the week this week is of course the Bluebells which are now fading fast, but whilst walking with a friend on Ranmore yesterday we came across a lovely patch – her spaniel Bertie thought so too!

St John The Baptist Church, Capel is a small friendly village church in the centre of the village. We are part of the Surrey Weald Team of parishes close to the south Surrey border with West Sussex. The other parishes in the team are St Peter’s, Newdigate, and St Mary Magdelene, South Holmwood. Our church offers a variety of worship, both separate and as part of the Weald Team.
